En Diciembre de 2010, Olakunbi Onime, DDS abrió las puertas de su primera ubicación en Tyler. Una ubicación que comenzó con solo 2 empleados. La Dra. Olakunbi Onime nació en Nigeria, donde ejerció la odontología antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos. Asistió al Centro Dental Kriser de la Universidad de Nueva York y se graduó en 2003. Desde entonces, ha practicado en Carolina del Norte, Nuevo México y Texas.

MEET THE STAFF
Lydia Porter RDA,
Gerente de Oficina (Hablo Español) “Lo que más me gusta es ayudar a la comunidad a comprender mejor la importancia del cuidado dental”. Lydia es Gerente de Oficina y Coordinadora de Aseguranza y ha sido Asistente Dental Registrada durante 23 años e instructora de Asistente Dental durante 13 años. A Lydia le encanta poder ayudar a los pacientes en inglés y español.
“What I love the most is helping the community to get a better understanding of the importance of Dental care.” Lydia is the Office Manager and Insurance coordinator at KayCare and has been a Registered Dental Assistant for 23 years and a Dental Assistant instructor for 13 years.

Andres Servin CDA, RDA
Andres is a bilingual Registered Dental Assitant at KayCare. He is also currently attending Tyler Junior College and has been working with Dr. Onime for two years. “KayCare Family Dental is my first Dental assistant job, I have plans to continue my education at UT Tyler for my bachelors and then relocate to San Antonio to become a dentist.” During his spare time, Andres enjoys going to car shows.
Andres es un asistente dental bilingüe registrado en KayCare. Asistió a Tyler Junior College y ha estado trabajando con el Dr. Onime durante dos años. “KayCare Family Dental es mi primer trabajo de asistente dental, tengo planes de continuar mi educación en UT Tyler para mis solteros y luego trasladarme a San Antonio para convertirme en dentista”. Durante su tiempo libre, a Andrés le gusta ir a espectáculos de autos.

Yahaira Garcia RDA
“Me gusta ver a las personas felices saliendo de nuestra oficina con su nueva sonrisa “. Yahaira también es asistente dental registrada y se graduó de Tyler Junior College y ahora continua sus estudios . Planea asistir a la escuela de odontología en San Antonio y le gusta pasar tiempo con su familia.
“I enjoy seeing” people happy leaving our office with their new smile.” Yahaira is also a Registered Dental Assistant and graduate of Tyler Junior College who is majoring in Biology. She plans on attending dental school in San Antonio and enjoys spending time with her family.

Adriana Guzman RDH, BSDH
“Comencé mi pasión por la odontología mientras trabajaba con la doctora Onime como asistente y decidí regresar a la escuela para convertirme en higienista dental”. Adriana se graduó recientemente del Programa de Higiene Dental de Tyler Junior College y también recibió su licenciatura de la Universidad en el 2018 . Trabajó con Dr. Onemi en el 2015 como asistente dental y luego regresó en Julio de 2018 después de completar el programa. A Adriana le encanta viajar y mantenerse al día con la literatura odontológica.
“I started my passion for Dentistry while working with Dr. Onime as an assistant and decided to return to school to become a dental hygienist.” Adriana is a recent graduate of the Tyler Junior College Dental Hygiene Program and received her Bachelors from Texas Women’s University in 2018 as well. She worked for Dr. Onime in 2015 as a Dental Assistant and then returned in July of 2018 after completing the program. Adriana loves traveling and staying up to date with dentistry literature.

Giselle Arredondo RDA, Front Desk

“This is my first job in the dental field and it has been a wonderful experience, you learn something new every day” Giselle is the front desk patient coordinator at KayCare Family Dental. She has been working for Dr. Onime for 2 years now. As the first point of contact, Giselle has the advantage of being able to communicate in both English and Spanish, making it a smooth experience for all patients.

In December of 2010 Olakunbi Onime, DDS opened the doors of her first location in Tyler. A location that began with only 2 employees. Dr. Olakunbi Onime was born in Nigeria where she practiced dentistry before moving to the United States. She attended the New York University Kriser Dental Center and graduated in 2003. Since then she has practiced in North Carolina, New Mexico, and Texas.

Dr. Olakunbi Onime maintains professional associations and board certifications that keep her up-to-date on all the new advances in the field including Member of American Dental Association, Member of Texas Dental Association, Member of East Texas Dental Society, Member Academy of General Dentist and Affiliated Member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. With over 16 years of experience, Dr. Onime is now able to offer her patients even better service in her new office from cosmetic dentistry to full-mouth rehabilitation, the new office is equipped to handle all of your dental needs.
